Romantic-thriller ‘Kagoj, The Paper’, starring Dhallywood actors Mamnun Hasan Emon and Airin Sultana is now all set to release.
Ali Zulfikar Zahedi’s directorial debut feature film ‘Kagoj’ has finally received an uncut censor certificate from the Bangladesh Film Censor Board.
Makers are now planning to release the film by this December.
In this film, Emon will be seen playing the role of a writer while Airin will be playing the role of Renu, daughter of a Banedi family.
Written and directed by Zahedi, the film is about the philosophical journey of a writer. The plot revolves around Mamnun Hasan Emon who’s in the paper business but secretly wants to become a famous writer.
As the film progresses, faced with writer’s block, the writer stumbles on an old book in which he finds a comment that reads, ‘if you’re struggling to put your thoughts down on paper, go back to where you started.’
Decided on following that advice, he returns to his village after 16 years and meets the person who had inspired his love of writing he was young.
The writer later falls in love with Renu (played by Airin) before the film takes an unexpected turn. The film also stars Shahiduzzaman Selim, Shashi Afroza, Moon, Ashraf Kabir, Farhan Khan Rio, Yuvraj, Maimuna Momo and Elena Shammi in various roles.
