Bangladesh Meteorological Department on Saturday forecast that residents of Dhaka and seven other divisions may experience rain or thundershower in the next 24 hours commencing at 6:00pm.

“Rain/thundershowers with intense lightning flashes and temporary gusty/squally wind is likely to occur at a few places over Rajshahi, Rangpur, Dhaka, Mymensingh, Sylhet, Khulna, Barishal and Chattogram divisions with hails at isolated places,” said a Met office bulletin.

Day and night temperatures may remain nearly unchanged over the country.

Trough of westerly low lies over sub-Himalayan West Bengal and adjoining areas. Seasonal low lies over the south Bay, it said.

On Saturday, the country's maximum temperature was recorded 36.4 degrees Celsius in Chandpur and the minimum temperature was recorded 18.0 degrees Celsius at Badalgachhi in Naogaon.
