Facebook, Messenger, Instagram crash leaving many users unable to log in

Facebook, Messenger and Instagram have all stopped working for many users on Thursday afternoon.

Facebook's private messaging app, Messenger, appears to be facing similar problems, with reports coming from Europe.

Downdetector also recorded a spike in Instagram users having problems uploading posts and stories.

The issue started about 7 am with thousands of users complaining about trouble with sending and receiving messages. 

Downdetector shows that European countries, including  Hungery, Greece, Belgium, turned out to be the worst sufferers of the outage.
