Chinese tech giant Huawei, a leading global provider of information and communications technology (ICT) infrastructure and smart devices, has planned to launch its 6G networks across the world by around 2030.
Huawei’s rotating Chairman Eric Xu has recently made the announcement at Huawei Global Analysts Summit in Shenzhen, south China's Guangdong Province, said a press release on Monday.
“Huawei is currently working on two things related to 6G. First, we are working with other players in the industry to define what 6G actually is. We want to discuss with businesses and consumers about what 6G will look like. Second, driven by our vision and the possible definition of 6G, we are also researching basic science and cutting-edge technologies, aiming to realize the 6G that we define together,” said the Huawei Chairman.
“I believe through our efforts we can help accelerate the transformation process in the Asia-Pacific region. We can bring our advanced technologies and hands-on experience in digital transformation to every country in the region, including their industries, businesses, and governments,” Xu said.
Huawei is a private company fully owned by its employees that invests heavily in basic research, concentrating on technological breakthroughs that drive the world forward. It has been conducting operation in more than 170 countries and regions since 1987.
