Evaly has Tk 542 crore in liability

Evaly, the much talked e-commerce platform, has a liability of Tk 542.9 crore to its customers and merchants, who placed orders and supplied goods.

As per the Evaly’s financial statement placed to Ministry of Commerce, total equity and liabilities of the company stood at Tk543.9 crore, while the current liabilities are Tk542.9 crore.

The Business Post managed a copy of financial statement on Thursday. On the financial status of the e-commerce platform, a commerce ministry official told The Business Post that the company has assets, including tangible and intangible, worth around over Tk 400 crore.

As per the financial statement, the company claimed that it has tangible assets of Tk 105 crore as of July 15, while its current asset are at Tk9 crore and property, plant and equipment value stood at Tk14.8 crore.

Earlier, the Ministry of Commerce asked Evaly to submit its financial statement detailing its assets and liabilities by August 19.

In line with the directives, Evaly on Thursday submitted the financial statement to the ministry in black and white.

Meanwhile on Thursday evening, Evaly Chief Executive Officer (CEO) Mohammad Rassel announced that he will go live on facebook to describe his plans on delivery on pending orders.
