Lenovo launches world’s first foldable PC

Lenovo recently introduced its ThinkPad X1, the world’s first foldable PC. Equipped with split-screen display features, the portable device performs all the basic and advanced functions offered by a PC.

X1 Fold offers multiple-use features, be it in laptop, tablet, split-screen or one huge display. The latest addition to Lenovo’s Thinkpad family comes with built-in ThinkShield security solutions and is powered by Intel® Core™ processors, reads a press release.

Weighing less than 1kg, the device is equipped with a folding OLED screen with a full 13.3 inches, 2K crystal-clear display. The device is fitted with the Lenovo Easel Stand for easy portrait or landscape placement on a desk.

Additionally, X1 Fold’s built-in Dolby Access app can simulate 3D sound so different sound profiles enable the user to customize sound to their desired level.

"With the ThinkPad X1 Fold, we aim to provide our users with the first-ever foldable screen experience in a PC. It will transform productivity on the go for individuals who frequently switch between phones, tablets, and laptops, and are striving for newer benefits and possibilities," said Naveen Kejriwal, Lenovo India's overseas sales head.

With the onset of a hybrid working world, we found that most people want a laptop experience without carrying a laptop for true mobility. The ultra-light and ultra-mobile X1 Fold was developed with this consumer insight in mind, he said.

"These are exciting times for Lenovo as we are pioneering and establishing a new foldable PC category, which will reshape users’ experience while working from home, the office, and anywhere in between," Kejriwal added.

Orders for the product can be placed through local Lenovo partners in Bangladesh with a lead time of 10 to 14 weeks, read the press release.
