Three state-owned banks get new MDs

The government has appointed new managing directors to state-owned Bangladesh Krishi Bank, Karmasangsthan Bank and Palli Sanchay Bank.

In a circular, Finance ministry’s Bank and Financial Institution Division said Shirin Akhter was the MD of Bangladesh Krishi Bank (BKB). Previously, she was the bank’s acting MD for more than a month. 

Abdul Mannan has been promoted to the post of MD of Karmasangsthan Bank.

He was the Deputy Managing Director (DMD) of Sonali Bank.

On the other hand, Khandaker Ataur Rahman has become the MD of Palli Sanchay Bank. Earlier, he served as the DMD of Rupali Bank.
