The first-ever 'Bangladesh Open Data Summit' has started with the presentation of the importance of open data of various public and private sectors of the country and its potential use for the welfare of the citizens on Saturday.
The summit was organised by Dataful as part of the UNESCO Global Media & Information Literacy Week celebrations.
On the opening day of the conference, Kawsar Hossain Sajib, data innovation economist of A2I was the keynote speaker on the thematic topic of open data.
The webinar presentation conducted by Dataful's founder Palash Dutta highlighted the use and format of open data in the country.
Alamgir Hossain, Joint Director, Bangladesh Bureau of Statistics, spoke on SDG Data Tracker.
Shakil Ahmed, Data Curator of Dataful, pointed out the limitations of Banbase in Open Education Data.
Shah Mohammad Ahsan Habib, Independent Director, IPDC Finance, also spoke on the availability of economic data.
