US-Bangladesh consultations on cyber issues held

US-Bangladesh consultations on cyber issues held

Bangladesh and the United States have held consultations on cyber issues with an elaborate discussion on various aspects, including digital economy partnership, global village, and protection of technology.

A nine-member delegation of Bangladesh participated in the event (November 14-19) held in Washington, DC at the invitation of the Commercial Law Development Program (CLDP) under the US Department of Commerce, a press release said.

The delegation was led by Bangladesh Internet Governance Forum Chairperson Hasanul Haq Inu, also the chairman of the Parliamentary Standing Committee on the Ministry of Information and Broadcasting.

In the meeting, the Bangladeshi delegation highlighted the country's various development activities of ICT and e-commerce areas in the public and private sectors.
