Borak Real Estate gets WTCA licence

Borak Real Estate Limited has secured the World Trade Centres Association (WTCA) licence to use the WTCA trade name, trademark, and logo for operating as a brand.

The licence took effect on November 10. Borak Real Estate Managing Director Mohammed Noor Ali signed the agreement on behalf of the company on November 10 while WTCA Executive Director Robin Van Puyenbroeck did so on November 15.

According to the agreement, Borak Real Estate will enjoy the WTCA membership, licence rights, and obligations under Unique Hotel and Resorts Limited.

Unique Hotel and Resorts signed the licence agreement on July 22, 2015.

The latest licence is an amended and restated agreement.

Borak Real Estate wants to use the WTCA trade name, trademark, and logo to operate as a branded WTCA facility under the name “World Trade Centre Dhaka” in its designated territories in Bangladesh.

It can use the WTCA’s intellectual property for its business branding due to this agreement.

Unique Hotel and Resorts and Borak Real Estate are sister concerns, and both are owned and controlled by Unique Group, one of the largest conglomerates and foremost diversified business entities in Bangladesh.

The WTCA is an international organisation committed to fostering the growth of global trade. It has members throughout the world.

As the owner of the “World Trade Centre” and “WTC” trademarks, the WTCA licences exclusive rights to these brands for members to use in conjunction with their independently-owned and iconic properties, facilities, and trade services offerings.
