The fifth “Digital Bangladesh Day-2021” was observed through various programmes across the country and Bangladesh missions abroad on Sunday.
With the theme “Digital Bangladesh-er Orjan, Upakrito Sakal Janagan”, the Information and Communication Technology Division chalked out elaborate programmes to celebrate the day.
Marking the day, State Minister for Posts, Telecommunications and Information Technology Zunaid Ahmed Palak paid homage to Father of the Nation Bangabandhu Sheikh Mujibur Rahman by placing a wreath at his portrait at Dhanmondi 32 in the capital at 7:00am, a press release said.
A discussion was held at the South Plaza of the Jatiya Sangsad where Chief Whip Noor-E-Alam Chowdhury was present as the chief guest.
MP Benjir Ahmed and ICT Division Senior Secretary NM Zeaul Alam spoke, among others, at the programme with State Minister Palak in the chair.
Later, a colourful procession led by the state minster was brought out from the South Plaza celebrating the day.
