Where is Murad?

The Canada Border Services Agency has denied former state minister for information and broadcasting Murad Hassan entry into the country, reports Toronto-based Bengali news portal Notun Desh.

Murad left Bangladesh at 1:16am on Friday on an Emirates flight for Toronto via Dubai.

According to Notun Desh, Murad was sent back to Dubai, which was his transit on his way to Canada, on an Emirates flight from Toronto Pearson International Airport on Friday.

Sources said he was at the Dubai International Airport on Saturday evening and was trying to go to another destination. Besides, he may come back to Dhaka on Sunday night (tonight).

However, no official sources have confirmed anything about Murad’s current location, or next destination after he left Dhaka on an Emirates flight.

Murad quit the cabinet following the instructions of Prime Minister Sheikh Hasina for his offensive and indecent remarks on women, and reliogion.

He came under severe criticism by various quarters for his comments made in an interview.

Audio and video clips containing his indecent remarks went viral on social media in the last few days.

Earlier, the prime minister asked him to resign over his remarks and involvement in immoral and controversial activities.
