Covid cases on rise

Bangladesh reported 509 more coronavirus cases and seven more deaths in 24 hours on Thursday.

The health authorities reported the latest figures after testing 22,667 samples.

On Wednesday, the Directorate General of Health Services (DGHS) registered one death and 495 new infections. On Sunday, Bangladesh reported 268 Covid positive cases. The number jumped to 373 on Monday and 397 on Tuesday with one death.

So far, 28,070 covid-related deaths and 15,85,027 cases have been reported with a 2.25 per cent positivity rate.
