TIN certificates now available on e-Return system

From now on, the TIN certificates can be availed through the e-Return system. National Board of Revenue launched the facility on Tuesday.

According to the NBR, any taxpayer with TIN can now download and print their TIN certificate online from the e-Return system round the clock at home.

The TIN certificate is required for various works. From last Tuesday the TIN certificate is generated from the e-Return system, officials of the NBR said.

They said many people were having difficulties in getting their own TIN Certificate for various reasons and many had to go to the tax office just to get a TIN certificate.

But from now, any individual having a phone number registered in their name can be registered at home through the e-Return system. There is no problem in forgetting the password, you can set a new password at home, they said.

Online tax services such as online tax payment, return filing, instantly downloading tax certificates, extending return filing time, etc. have already been introduced in e-Return system.

Many services are being added to e-Returns day by day. So it is better to keep the registration in e-Return system. There is no obligation, but there are many benefits, an official said.
