Customs certificate needed for export subsidy: BB

Bangladesh Bank has instructed exporters of agricultural and agro-processed products to attach the physical verification certificate provided by the customs authority concerned along with the application form when applying for government subsidy.

Exporters who fail to submit the customs certificate will not be given the subsidy, according to a circular issued by the BB’s Foreign Exchange Policy Department (FEPD) on Monday.

Meanwhile, other directives relating to providing subsidies in the export of agricultural and agro-processed goods would remain unchanged, the circular added.
