The office hours for all government and autonomous institutions have been revised two months after the government fixed a new schedule enforced to tackle the energy crisis.
The revised office hours — 9:00am to 4:00pm — will take effect from November 15.
The new decision was taken on Monday at a cabinet meeting held at the Prime Minister’s Office in Dhaka with Prime Minister Sheikh Hasina in the chair.
Cabinet Secretary Khandker Anwarul Islam briefed the reporters about the decision after the meeting at the Bangladesh Secretariat.
On August 22, the government fixed new office hours for all government and autonomous institutions from 8:00am to 3:00pm which was 9:00am to 5:00pm earlier.
