Implementation of the revised annual development programme (ADP) from July to November of the current fiscal year has slightly reduced to 18.41 per cent compared to the last fiscal year.
The ADP implementation of first four months in the last fiscal year was 18.61 per cent, said officials of the Implementation, Monitoring and Evaluation Division (IMED) of the Planning Commission.
In Fiscal Year 2020-21, the ADP implementation rate was 17.93 per cent.
The implementation rate was 12.64 per cent in the July-October which was lowest in the last seven years, officials also said.
IMED data showed that the government spent Tk 47,122 crore in July-November, out of total Tk 2,56,000 crore, for ADP projects.
The implementation of Annual Development Programme (ADP) in the fiscal year 2021-22 is higher than what was witnessed in the last two financial years.
According to the IMED report, the execution rate stands at 92.89 per cent in FY22 which was 82.11 per cent and 80.39 per cent in FY21 and FY20 respectively.
A total of 1496 projects were included in the ADP of the current fiscal. Among them, 1,441 are main projects, 46 sub-projects and nine development assistance projects. Among these projects, 106 are technical assistance projects and 1,296 investment projects.
Besides, in November, ministries, divisions and departments have spent 5.77 per cent on project implementation. In this month, various government projects worth Tk 14,764 crore have been implemented.
The implementation in November of the previous year was 5.55 per cent.
Till November, various institutions of the government have spent Tk 27,449 crores of government funds which is 18.42 per cent of the allocation. During the time, the amount of foreign funds spent was Tk 17,709 crores, which is 19.29 per cent of the total allocation.
Besides, the rest of the money has been spent from the institutions’ own funds, which is Tk 1,914 crore or 19.37 percent of the total allocation.
