A total of seventy-one companies are set to be awarded the “Bangabandhu Sheikh Mujib Export Trophy” for the fiscal year 2019-20, for their contribution and performance in the country’s export earnings.
The award, generally called the “National Export Trophy”, was renamed for the fiscal year 2019-20 to mark the occasion of birth centenary of the Father of Nation, read a commerce ministry gazette notification issued in this regard on Thursday.
According to the gazette, Universal Jeans Ltd will be awarded the trophy for drawing maximum export earnings.
Rifat Garments Ltd will get the gold trophy in the readymade garment (woven) sector, while Snowtex Outerwear Ltd and Tarasima Apparels Ltd are to be awarded silver and bronze trophies respectively.
Under the readymade garment (knitwear) category, GMS Composite Knitting Industries secured gold, while Square Fashions and Flamingo Fashions Ltd secured silver and bronze medals respectively.
Energypac Engineering Ltd won the gold medal in the electric and electronics products sector, and BRB Cable Industries Ltd won the silver medal.
In the yarn sector, Square Textiles Ltd will receive gold, Badsha Textiles Ltd silver and Viyellatex Spinning Ltd will get the bronze trophy.
In the textile fabrics sector, Zaber & Zubair Fabrics Ltd will get gold, Envoy Textile Ltd will get silver, and Ha-Meem Denim Ltd is set to get the bronze trophy.
In the home and specialised textile products sector, Zaber & Zubair Fabrics Ltd will get the gold. Besides, Noman Terry Towel Mills Ltd won the gold in the Teri Towel sector.
In the frozen food sector, BD Sea Food, Crimson Rosella Seafood Ltd, and MU Sea Food will get gold, silver and bronze medals respectively.
International Jute Traders won gold in the raw jute product sector, while Uttara Pat Sangstha will get the silver.
Akij Jute Mills Ltd won the gold in jute products, while Janata Jute Mills and Karim Jute Spinners Ltd will get silver and bronze, respectively.
In the leather products sector, Leather goods producer Picard Bangladesh Ltd has been picked for the gold trophy. ABC Footwear Industries Ltd won the silver trophy.
In the footwear sector, Bay-Footwear Ltd won the gold medal, FB Footwear Ltd won the silver and Akiz Footwear won the bronze trophy.
In the agricultural products (except tobacco) category, Mansur General Trading Ltd won gold, Al-Azmi Trade International won silver, and Alin Foods Trade won the bronze trophy.
Pran Dairy Ltd won the gold medal in agro-processing products (except tobacco), Pran Agro Ltd is getting silver while Habiganj Agro Ltd is getting the bronze trophy.
In the full-foliage sector, M/S Rajdhani Enterprise will get gold.
Karupanya Rangpur Ltd is getting the gold in the handicraft sector. BD Creation is getting the silver medal and Classical Handmade Product BD is getting the bronze medal.
In the plastic products sector, Bengal Plastics Ltd is getting the gold, Durable Plastic Ltd is getting the silver medal and Banga Plastic International ltd is getting the bronze medal. Shinepukur Ceramics Ltd is getting the gold and Artisan Ceramics Ltd is getting the silver medal in the ceramic category.
M/S M & U Cycles Ltd won the gold in the light engineering sector, M/S Meghna Bangladesh Ltd won the silver and Uniglory Cycle Component Ltd got the bronze.
In the other industrial products category, Marine Safety System Ltd won the gold, Tasnim Chemical Complex Ltd won the silver medal and BSRM Steels Ltd won the bronze medal.
Beximco Pharmaceuticals Ltd won gold and Square Pharmaceuticals won silver medal in the pharmaceutical product category, and NIPRO JMI Pharma Ltd is getting the bronze.
Pacific Jeans Ltd and NHT Fashions Ltd are winning gold and silver medals respectively, in the garment sector under EPZ (knit and woven) with 100 per cent ownership of Bangladesh (‘C’ category). Fardin Accessories Ltd won gold and RM Interlining Ltd won silver medal in other products and services, under the garment sector under EPZ (knit and oven) with 100 per cent ownership of Bangladesh (‘C’ category).
In the packaging and accessories products category, Montrims Ltd won the gold, M&U Packaging Ltd won the silver medal and M/S Uniglory Paper and Packaging Industries Ltd won the bronze medal.
Orchid Trading Corporation won the gold in the other primary products category, while Nihao Food Company Ltd won the silver.
Expo Freight is receiving the gold and Mir Telecom Ltd the silver in the other services sector.
