HSC, equivalent exam results on February 8

The results of Higher Secondary Certificate (HSC) and its equivalent examinations for the year 2022 will be published on February 8.

“A proposal was sent to the education ministry to publish the results between February 7 and February 9. The prime minister set February 8 as the date,” Tapan Kumar Sarkar, Inter-Education Board Coordination Committee convener and Dhaka Education Board chairman told The Business Post on Sunday.

The HSC and equivalent examinations began on November 6, 2022, amid the Covid-19 pandemic, and ended on December 13 the same year. Traditionally, the education boards publish the results within two months of the exams. The deadline, therefore, is February 11.

A total of 1,203,407 students – 6,22,769 boys and 5,80,611 girls – sat for the exams at 2,649 centres, from 9,181 educational institutes across the country in 2022.

In general, the results of both the secondary and higher secondary exams are officially announced by the prime minister.
