Narayanganj leather factory catches fire

A fire broke out at United Leather Factory at Maikuli in Rupganj of Narayanganj on Wednesday.

Abdullah Al Arefin, deputy assistant director of the Fire Service and Civil Defence in Narayanganj, confirmed the matter to The Business Post.

On information, 14 fire-fighting units rushed to the spot and managed to douse the fire.

No fatalities were reported in the incident, Arefin said adding that they would form a probe body to delve into the fire incident. Earlier on July 8, at least 51 workers died in a fire that broke out at Hashem Foods factory in Rupganj of Narayanganj.
