PIB Asst Prof Quamrun Nahar dies of Covid-19

Quamrun Nahar Ruma, an assistant professor of the Press Institute Bangladesh and a former sports journalist, died of Covid-19 in Dhaka on Monday morning. She was 39.

She breathed her last at a private hospital at 6:30 am, said a source close to her family. “She had been on life support for the last five days,” the source added.

Before joining PIB, Ruma worked for The Bangladesh Observer and The Daily Observer as a sports journalist. Ruma is the wife of Mashiur Rahman, sports editor at The Daily Observer.
