National Fisheries Week-2021 begins from Aug 28

Fisheries and Livestock Minister SM Rezaul Karim on Wednesday said nationwide National Fisheries Week-2021 will be observed from August 28 enforcing proper health guidelines.

“National Fisheries Week-2021 will be observed throughout the country from August 28 to September 3 following proper health guidelines due to pandemic,” he said while addressing a preparatory meeting at his ministry’s conference room here.

The main theme of the week is ‘more fisheries ... help to reduce unemployment’ (Beshi Beshi Mach Chash Kori, Bekarotto Dur Kori). On the first day on August 28, press conference will be held highlighting different programmes of the fisheries week at the Department of Fisheries (DoF).
