Hearing on Pori Moni’s bail plea today

A Dhaka Court on Wednesday fixed Thursday to hear the remand petition  of actress Pori Moni in a case filed under the Narcotics Control Act.

Dhaka Metropolitan Magistrate Debabrata Biswas fixed the date when Kazi Golam Mostafa, inspector of Criminal Investigation Department of Police and also the investigation officer of the case, sought a 5-day remand for Pori Moni for the third phase in the case.

Pori Moni was present on the dock.

On August 16, Pori Moni’s counsel Majibur Rahman filed a petition seeking bail for his client to the court of Dhaka Metropolitan Magistrate Rezaul Karim Chowdhury.

Dhaka Metropolitan Magistrate Rezaul Karim Chowdhury fixed August 18 for hearing on the petition. A Dhaka court on August 10 placed actress Pori Moni on a 2-day fresh remand in the case.
