The Speedy Trial Tribunal-1 has fixed September 7 for the prosecution's argument in the case lodged over the death of Abrar Fahad, a student of Bangladesh University of Engineering and Technology.
Judge Abu Jafar Mohammad Kamruzzaman of the tribunal set the date for the presentation of the arguments of the state after the defense of the accused.
Russell Mia testified on behalf of accused Istiaq Ahmed. Besides, Ruhul Amin, Siddique Mia and Rajib Mollah testified on behalf of accused Mehedi Hasan Russell.
A second year student of Electrical and Electronic Engineering of BUET, Abrar Fahad’s body was recovered from the corridor between the ground floor and second floor stairs of Sher-e-Bangla Hall of BUET on October 7, 2019
The next day at noon, the autopsy of Abrar was completed at the Dhaka Medical College Hospital morgue. The victim’s father Barkat Ullah filed a murder case with Chawkbazar police station.
