The cabinet on Sunday approved a proposal to celebrate October 18, the birth day of Bangabandhu's youngest son Sheikh Russell, as 'Sheikh Russel Day'.
The Day would be observed nationally as an 'A' category celebration day every year, said a press release.
State Minister for Information and Communication Technology Junaid Ahmed Palak raised the proposal in the cabinet to celebrate the Sheikh Russel Day.
The proposal was unanimously approved in the cabinet, the release added.
A total of 8,000 "Sheikh Russel Digital Lab" have already been established in Bangladesh and Saudi Arabia.
More than 5000 Sheikh Russel Digital Lab" and 300 "School of Futures" are being set up.
