Local Government, Rural Development and Cooperatives Minister Md Tazul Islam on Monday said Prime Minister Sheikh Hasina is working to fulfill the dream of Father of the Nation Bangabandhu Sheikh Mujibur Rahman.

“Bangabandhu’s daughter is working to materialize the goals and dreams of Bangabandhu with which the Father of the Nation made the country independent,” he said.

The LGRD minister came up with the remarks while addressing a three-day news exhibition on the Prime Minister at Sheraton Dhaka Hotel at Kamal Ataturk Avenue in the city’s Banani area, said a press release.

Canadian University of Bangladesh (CUB) organized the exhibition titled “Unique Sheikh Hasina” marking the 75th birthday of Prime Minister Sheikh Hasina.

Tazul said Sheikh Hasina is not only the successor of Bangabandhu, but also with her own quality, intelligence, prudent leadership, patriotism and affection to the countrymen is working relentlessly for the country defying hundreds of hurdles.

Bangladesh has attained the highest success in implementing the Millennium Development Goals (MDGs) under the leadership of the Prime Minister, he said, adding that the country is now continuing its success in implementing the Sustainable Development Goals (SDGs).
