Phase II UP election on November 11

The second phase of union parishad elections will be held on November 11 in 848 constituencies.

Election Commission Secretary Humayun Kabir Khandaker announced the schedule on Wednesday.

Of the 848 constituencies, 20 will be voted on electronic voting machines, he said. As per the schedule, the last date for filing nomination is October 17 and selection of nomination papers will be on October 20.

Besides, appeal against the selection decision can be filed from October 21 to 23, and the settlement of the appeals will be held on October 24 and 25.

Furthermore, withdrawal of candidature will place on October 26, symbol allocation on October 27.
