Peoples Insurance Company Limited on Monday arranged a doa mahfil to mark the 58th birthday of Sheikh Russel, the youngest son of Father of the Nation Bangabandhu Sheikh Mujibur Rahman.
SM Azizul Hossain, chief executive officer of the company, chaired the doa mahfil following a discussion at the Peoples Insurance Bhaban in the capital.
Other staff members of the organisation were present at the programme.
Cakes and other food items were distributed among the orphans attending the event. On October 18 in 1964, Sheikh Russel, the youngest brother of Prime Minister Sheikh Hasina, was born at historic Bangabandhu Bhaban on Dhanmondi 32 in the capital.
