Grassroot-level activists strength of AL: Nasim

Bangladesh Awami League Joint General Secretary AFM Bahauddin Nasim on Saturday said all grassroots level leaders and activists symbolize the power and trust of Awami League.

“Awami League always was based on its countrywide grassroot leaders and activists and they did not betray before and after the Liberation of Bangladesh. Only vested quarters and hybrid opportunists and intruders left the party when AL passed hard days,” he said at the triennial conference of Bangladesh Awami Swechchhasebak League (BASL), a front wing of Bangladesh Awami League (AL), at city’s Shaheed Hadis Park.

Chaired by Mir Barkat Ali, convener of conference preparation committee, Nirmal Ranjan Guha, central president of BASL, inaugurated the conference through releasing pigeons and festoons.

Khulna City Corporation Mayor Talukder Abdul Khaleque, central organizing secretary of AL S M Kamal Hossain, Parliament members Sheikh Salahuddin Jewel, Sheikh Sarhan Naser Tanmoy, advocate Amirul Alam Milon, Akteruzzaman Babu, advocate Gloria Jharna Sarker, Khulna Zila Parishad Chairman Sheikh Harun-ur-Rashid also spoke, among others.
