Law, Justice and Parliamentary Affairs Minister Anisul Huq today said the government of Prime Minister Sheikh Hasina wants to do everything possible to make judiciary self-sufficient.

“We want to make sure that the people get justice and the judges can conduct the trial process properly,” he said.

The minister said these while handing over keys of vehicles for the use of judges across the country, on the Directorate of Registration premises today.

He handed over keys of 27 cars and two microbuses for the use of judges of Women and Children Repression Prevention Tribunal, Anti-Terrorism Tribunal, Anti-Human Trafficking Offence Tribunal, Cyber Tribunal and Chief Metropolitan Magistrate Court.

The law minister at the function further said earlier we used to see judges to move around in rickshaw, auto rickshaw or microbus. We have already handed over cars to all the district judges and additional district judges.

“The government of Prime Minister Sheikh Hasina believes that if we can arrange infrastructures for the judiciary properly, we would be able to create a base for conducting the trial process by the judges independently. That is why we have given emphasis on creating infrastructures for the judiciary,” he added.
