The plan includes convergence on the Bangladesh Forest Department in the morning on November 28 to hold the cultural demo, handing over a memorandum to the Ministry of Environment, Forest and Climate Change, and the parliamentary standing committee of the same ministry, and demanding steps to hold forest officials accountable for killing elephant.

Professor Ahmed Kamruzzaman, chairman of the Department of Environmental Science, Stamford University, also joint secretary to Bangladesh Poribesh Andolon (BAPA), was made convener of the movement.

Representatives of the green group BAPA, Peoples for Animal Welfare Foundation, Nongor, Green Movement, Save Our Sea and Green Fighting Movement took part in the meeting along with academicians from different universities. The organisers called upon people of all walks of life to join the movement and make it a success.
