World Intellectual Property Day today

Like elsewhere across the world, Bangladesh will observe the ‘World Intellectual Property Day’ today.

This year, the theme of the day is ‘IP and Youth: Innovating for a Better Future’.

President M Abdul Hamid and Prime Minister Sheikh Hasina today issued separate messages recalling the importance of the day for Bangladesh.

In his message, President Abdul Hamid said the countries in the world that are leading in innovation are the leaders of the world today.

Despite the limited resources, Bangladesh is not lagging behind in terms of creativity and the youth of the country are keeping testimony of their ability in various fields including information technology at home and abroad, he added.

To build a secure, sustainable and prosperous Bangladesh, he said, “We need to find the best way to harness the talents of our youth.”
