Four addl secys promoted to secys

The government on Wednesday promoted four Additional Secretaries to the rank of secretary.

According to a notification of the Public Administration Ministry the newly promoted Secretaries are-Divisional Commissioner of Khulna Md Ismail Hossain, Additional Secretary of the Finance Ministry Dr Farhina Ahmed, Additional Secretary of the Agriculture Ministry Md Hasanuzzaman Kallol and Additional Secretary of the Energy and Mineral Resources Ministry Md Jahangir Alam.

Md Ismail Hossain was posted to the Food Ministry as its Secretary that will effect from June 8 while Dr Farhina Ahmed was given posting to the Ministry of Environment, Forest and Climate Change as its Secretary that will come into effect from May 22.

Besides, Md Hasanuzzaman Kollol was made Secretary to the Ministry of Women and Children Affairs from June 14 and Md Jahangir Alam was posted to the Social Welfare Ministry as its Secretary from tomorrow (Thursday), the notification added.
