Kader, Zafrullah attend Padma Bridge opening

Krishak Sramik Janata League President Abdul Kader Siddique and Gonoshasthaya Kendra founder Dr Zafrullah Chowdhury on Saturday joined the grand inaugural ceremony of the Padma Bridge.

The inaugural ceremony started at 10:00am at the Mawa point with Cabinet Secretary Khandokar Anwarul Islam’s welcome speech.

While talking to reporters, Siddiquiesaid, “The Padma Bridge is the symbol of Bangladesh’s self dignity”.

“Daughter of Bangabandhu Prime Minister Sheikh Hasina has done the tremendous job with her courageous initiative and the successful completion of the bridge was possible due to her firmness,” he said.

Besides, Dr Zafrullah Chowdhury demanded toll free crossing of the Padma Bridge for ambulance while double toll for foreigners.
