Zahid Hossain Biman’s new MD

The government on Wednesday appointed Zahid Hossain as the new managing director of Biman Bangladesh Airlines under the Ministry of Civil Aviation and Tourism.

The Public Administration Ministry issued a notification signed by its Deputy Secretary Abul Bashar Mohammad Fakhruzzaman in this regard.

Zahid Hossain will replace Abu Saleh Mostafa Kamal, managing director and CEO of Biman, who has also been posted to the Department of Social Services as the new director general.

Prior to the new appointment, Zahid Hossain was the director (additional secretary) of administration, human resources and logistics for Biman as well as its director of marketing.

Earlier, he had worked for different ministries including as a joint secretary at the Ministry of Home Affairs and the Ministry of Expatriates’ Welfare and Overseas Employment.
