The authority of Chattogram University (CU) on Monday suspended its four students for one year for their alleged involvement in the sexual harassment of two female students in 2021.
The suspended students are Junayed Ahmed of the Arabic Department, Jannatul Islam Rubel of the Islamic History and Culture Department, Rakib Hasan Raju and Emon Ahmed of the Philosophy Department.
SM Manirul Hasan, the acting registrar of CU, disclosed the matter during a press briefing held at the conference room of VC.
Two female students of the Communication and Journalism Department were allegedly sexually assaulted in front of CU Central Mosque on September 16, 2021.
