Journalist Refayet’s mother passes away

Dilruba Begum, mother of The Daily Star senior reporter Mohammad Refayet Ullah Mirdha, died from prolonged illness on Thursday.

She was 75.

“My mother breathed her last at our Shekhergaon village home in Monohordiof Narsingdi at 8:30am,” Refayet told BSS.

Dilruba was laid to rest at her family graveyard following a namaz-e-janaza after asr prayers.

She is survived by three sons, four daughters, a host of relatives and admirers.
