The Anti-Corruption Commission on Sunday filed a case against Nasim Anwar, a former director of International Leasing and Financial Services Limited, on charges of concealing information about his wealth worth Tk1.12 crore.
Taposh Kanti Bala, an assistant director of the anti-graft body, filed the case with its integrated district office in Dhaka-1, said ACC spokesperson M Arif Sadiq.
According to the case, Nasim submitted his wealth statement to the ACC showing his moveable and immovable wealth worth Tk 5.21 crore on August 12, 2021.
But scrutinising his wealth statement, the anti-graft agency found that Nasim concealed information about his wealth worth Tk 1.12 crore.
The case statement said Nasim committed an offence under Sections 26 (2) and 27 (1) of the Anti-Corruption Commission Act 2004 by amassing wealth beyond known sources of income and concealing information about it.
