Fareast life insurance ex-chairman on remand again

A Dhaka court on Sunday placed former chairman of Fareast Islami Life Insurance Co Ltd Md Nazrul Islam on four-day fresh remand in a case lodged for embezzling depositors’ money.

Dhaka Metropolitan Magistrate Shahidul Islam passed the order as police produced Nazrul before the court after end of his one-day remand in the case and pleaded to place him on 12-day fresh remand.

The court of Dhaka Metropolitan Magistrate Rashidul Alam on September 16 placed Nazrul on one-day remand in the case.

Earlier on September 13, Dhaka Metropolitan Magistrate Mahbub Ahammed had placed Nazrul Islam on two-day remand.
