Raushon for reinstating removed, expelled leaders

Jatiya Party Chief Patron and Leader of the Opposition in Parliament Raushon Ershad has instructed the party chairman to include all the removed, expelled and out of the committee leaders and activists in the party.

She gave the directive in a letter sent to the party Chairman GM Quader on Wednesday, said a press release.

In the letter, Begum Raushon Ershad as the custodian of the all the supreme power of JaPa asked to suspend all the provisions of the sub-section-1 of Article-20, special power of the constitution as per the power of Chief Patron and the sub-section 2 of Article 20, which is contrary to the fundamental rights, of the JaPa Constitution.

Noting that all the provisions of sub-section 1 of Article-20 of the party constitution approved in the 9th National Council held on December 28, 2019 were misused, Raushon wrote that all leaders and activists of the party at grassroots level are against those articles and they want cancellation of those articles.

Raushon also reinstalled Mashiur Rahaman Ranga, MP, former lawmaker Ziaul Haque Mridha and Abdul Gaffar Bishwash, presidium members former minister MA Sattar, Professor Delwar Hossain Khan, Zafar Iqbal Siddiqui, Fakhruzzaman Jahangir, Kazi Mamunur Rashid and Professor Iqbal Hossain Razu, former adviser Advocate Mahbubul Alam Bachchu, former vice chairmen ex-lawmaker Professor Nurul Islam Milan and Nurul Islam Nuru in their party posts.

She also cancelled all the expulsion orders against the concerned party leaders and activists.
