The government has allowed traders to export hilsha to India for five more days on the occasion of Durga Puja.
The Ministry of Commerce in a circular said it allowed fish exporters – Mahima Enterprise, Tanisha Enterprise, Mashfi and Brothers, K.B Enterprise, Seagold Export International, Janata Fish and Fish Bazar – to export hilsa to India till October 5 taking into consideration their applications. The terms and conditions will remain unchanged, it added.
Earlier the ministry allowed 49 companies to export hilsha to India began from September 5 to September 30.
The ministry gave approval for 49 companies to export hilsha to India.
