JS body for strengthening surveillance in hills

The Parliamentary Standing Committee on the Ministry of Chittagong Hill Tracts Affairs on Monday recommended strengthening surveillance on terrorist acts in the hill districts.

The parliamentary watchdog made the recommendation at its 13th meeting held at Jatiya Sangsad Bhaban with its chairman Md Dabirul Islam in the chair.

Committee members – Chittagong Hill Tracts Affairs Minister Bir Bahadur U Shwe Sing and Mir Mustaque Ahmed Robi - attended the meeting.

During the meeting, the present situation of Bandarban border and Myanmar, and the decisions taken in the last meeting and implementation of those were discussed.
