Residents in Dhaka and Narayanganj are likely to face a weeklong disruption in gas supply from November 6 to November 12 for emergency maintenance work by the Gas Transmission Company Limited.
The Titas Gas Transmission and Distribution Company informed this through a press release on Saturday.
Titas Gas authority said the GTCL will carry out intelligent pigging (automatic pipeline cleaning method) on a 60 km high-pressure gas transmission pipeline between Cumilla’s Bakhrabad to Narayanganj’s Siddhirganj from Sunday to Saturday next week.
During that time, the gas supply may be interrupted or continue to low pressure of Titas Gas areas including the southern part of Dhaka city’s Jinjira, Keraniganj, Narayanganj’s Meghanaghat, Sonargaon, Haripur, Narayanganj city, Fatullah and several areas of Munshiganj.
