e-CAB’s Mafroza Akhtar arrested over cheque fraud

Police arrested e-Commerce Association of Bangladesh (e-CAB) Women Entrepreneurs Forum Standing Committee Vice President Mafroza Akhtar on Tuesday for allegedly embezzling money by cheque fraud.

Confirming the issue, Mohammadpur police station Officer-in-charge Abul Kalam Azad said she was arrested from Dhaka’s Mohammadpur area on Tuesday night.

The OC said Mafroza was arrested after a warrant was issued against her over cheque fraud of more than Tk 5 lakh.
