RAB arrests ‘Gangchil Bahini’ leader in city

Rapid Action Battalion (RAB) arrested the leader of a notorious criminal syndicate called ‘Gangchil Bahini’ and fugitive murder convict in the city on Thursday.

The arrested was Ruhul Amin alias Ledu, 45, a wanted accused in five cases of robbery.

RAB-4 Assistant Superintendent of Police (ASP) Md Ziaur Rahman Chowdhury confirmed the matter to BSS today, saying that a team of RAB-4 arrested him in a secret raid in the House Building area of Uttara Purba police station in the capital on Thursday afternoon.

According to RAB, he was also sentenced to life-term imprisonment in the murder case of Bashir Uddin Bosu under Shah Ali Police Station of the capital in 2012.
