DCs for adding study on traffic law in textbooks

The top officials of field-level administration on Tuesday laid stress on including the study of traffic laws in the textbooks of secondary and higher secondary levels to increase awareness, reduce road accidents and ensure safe roads across the country.

On the first day of the DC Conference on Tuesday, a discussion was held to include some provisions of traffic law or road transport act in the textbooks following the proposal of Deputy Commissioner of Chuadanga Mohammad Aminul Islam Khan.

Apart from this, there were also discussions on nine other issues regarding the education sector at the conference those include the introduction of an education television channel.

There were also discussions on the formulation of a ‘Flexible Calendar’ for summer vacation at the schools of haor areas, the formulation of a code of conduct for the teachers and staff of non-government MPO-listed institutions, and taking initiative to construct Shaheed Minar at secondary schools by own management.
