Fifteen litterateurs will get the Bangla Academy Literary Award 2022 for their contribution to 11 genres of literature.
The recipients are Farook Mahmud and Tarik Sujat for poetry, Taposh Mojumder and Parvez Hossain for prose, Masuduzzaman for essay and research, Alam Korshed for translation, Milan Kanti Dey and Farid Ahmed Dulal for drama, Dhruba Esh for children’s literature, Muhammad Shamsul Haque for research works on Liberation War, Subhash Singha Roy for research on Bangabandhu, Mokaram Hossain for science, science fiction and environment, Iktiar Chowdhury for autobiography, memoir or travelogue, and Abdul Khaleq and Muhammad Abdul Jalil for folklore.
The Bangla Academy Literary Award Committee made the announcement through a press release on approval of the Bangla Academy Executive Council on Wednesday afternoon. Prime Minister Sheikh Hasina will hand over the award to the recipients at the inaugural programme of Amar Ekushey Book Fair 2023, the press release read.
