New BGB chief joins office

The newly appointed director general of the Border Guard Bangladesh Maj Gen AKM Nazmul Hasan started office on Sunday.

Outgoing BGB chief Maj Gen Shakil Ahmed handed over the responsibilities to Maj Gen AKM Nazmul Hasan.

Before joining BGB, Maj Gen Hasan was the director general of Bangladesh Ansar and VDP.

Born on January 2, 1969, Maj Gen Hasan joined Bangladesh Military Academy on July 15, 1986 and was commissioned on June 24, 1988 in the infantry corps of Bangladesh Army.
