SSC, equivalent exams to start on April 30

Routines for Secondary School Certificate (SSC) and its equivalent examinations were published on Monday as the public examinations will begin on April 30 under 11 education boards.

According to the routine, the theoretical portion of the SSC exam will begin on April 30 and end on May 23. All the exams will be held from 10:00am

to 1:00pm.

This year, the SSC exams will be conducted on all subjects and the question papers will comprise creative and multiple-choice questions as before.

The Board of Intermediate and Secondary Education in Dhaka in a press release signed by its examination controller Prof Md Abul Bashar, also convener of the committee of Inter-Education Board controllers published the routine.

According to the routine, Bangla first paper examination will be held on April 30, Bangla second paper on May 2, the English first paper on May 3, the English second paper on May 7, Mathematics on May 9, ICT on May 10 and Religious Studies on May 11.

Apart from this, the Physics exam will be held on May 14, Home Economics on May 15, Chemistry on May 16, Geography and Environment on May 17, Biology on May 18, Science on May 21, and Bangladesh and Global Studies on May 23.

Like last year, the SSC exam was held on a shortened syllabus.

Usually, the SSC examination was held in early February and the HSC exam in early April. But the schedules were disrupted since March 2020 due to the coronavirus pandemic situation.
