The Anti-Corruption Commission got over one hundred complaints from people against the services of 25 government agencies during a mass hearing in Faridpur on Wednesday.
Service seekers came up with the graft allegations at a mass hearing arranged by ACC’s integrated district office of Faridpur with Deputy Commissioner of Faridpur Kamrul Ahsan Talukder in the chair.
Attending the event as chief guest, ACC secretary Md Mahbub Hossain said corruption will have to be prevented by ensuring good governance in the country.
ACC took zero-tolerance policy against corruption and the corruption will be curbed through creating mass awareness among the country’s people, he said.
ACC secretary urged government officials to work transparently with honesty while he also urged countrymen to work together against corruption.
During the hearing, service seekers brought 145 different graft allegations against 25 government agencies including Faridpur Medical college hospital, Sadar Hospital, Passport office, BRTA, Sub-Register Office, Police administration, education office, land office, and district administration in Faridpur.
Out of the 145 graft allegations, hearings on 76 specific allegations were held from where the anti-graft body decided to carry out an inquiry over two allegations.
